Skoda Superb wagon in a yellowish green colour
![]() 02/13/2018 at 21:23 |

Why does Skoda have to hoard all the good colors?
![]() 02/13/2018 at 21:34 |
|
Because they can
More willing to take a risk I guess
![]() 02/13/2018 at 21:42 |

The M3 and M4 called.
They want Austin Yellow back.

If it was sold here, I’d buy it...

I have a preference for the Lava Blue on the Skoda wagon but this does look sharpish too
![]() 02/13/2018 at 22:08 |

Why can’t we get Skoda? They have some really good looking cars.
Also is the hood popped?
![]() 02/13/2018 at 22:19 |

Ye’, the bonnet is up on that.
Mine for reference.
![]() 02/13/2018 at 22:21 |

The Lava Blue is called Petrol Blue Metallic in the U.K.
![]() 02/13/2018 at 22:23 |

Nice, Skoda Superb Sportline. Blacked out chrome, limited edition colour, etc...
Strangely it’s called Dragon Green Metallic.
If you look at it close up, there is a tinge of green in it.
![]() 02/13/2018 at 22:54 |

Not a fan of that one
![]() 02/13/2018 at 22:56 |

Blame vw for not offering them there
Yes bonnet is popped
![]() 02/13/2018 at 23:05 |

Really like the rims and the whole car just works (styling wise)
![]() 02/13/2018 at 23:20 |

I keep looking at the Dragon Green Metallic thinking I should of got that one, but then the sun comes out and the blue comes to life. So I’m very happy with it.
Next year we may go for another Superb, depending on what the face-lift looks like. Going to have a look at a VW Arteon tomorrow if I get time.

Oh it’s a beautiful car alright and after two years I still stop and look back as I walk away.
I lucked out when I got that colour with those wheels, but still keep thinking I should of gone with the Dragon Green Metallic.

I know but I think it would be good to slot it under VW here. That way VW can push their high end look.

Please tell me its the above color because this is what pops up here in the US...

R.I.P. Skoda Canada
Sometime in like the 60s-sometime in the late 80s/early 90s, whenever they stopped making rear-engined cars.
Honestly though, Skoda could really make a comeback as a Kia/Hyundai competitor. They never had the bad reputation marques like Lada had, but it would cannibalise VW sales, according to VW.

It’s actually called a Superb? Look I just bought a Dacia Really Great!
![]() 02/13/2018 at 23:52 |

![]() 02/14/2018 at 00:29 |

That’s quite an interesting colour, not for me though.
![]() 02/14/2018 at 00:32 |

Oh well. Thankfully you don’t have to look at it.
To each their own.
I happen to love how my car looks.

Skodas have always seemed like better Volkswagens, but I really wish there was more differentiation within VAG’s sub-brands.
Why do they even bother? PSA does a way, way better job of making their two brands more distinct
![]() 02/14/2018 at 01:40 |

Skoda does have a more green car in the Skoda Octavia vRS.
![]() 02/14/2018 at 01:44 |

Skoda already hit a lot of VWs sales in some European countries.

I suppose it keeps the costs down having the same platform, engines, drivetrains, electronic interface, etc... it’s good in a way. Because you needn’t have to tune your car as such to get more out of the engine, simply go into VCDS on your skoda, change a value from 01 to 11 and straight away you’ve got the throttle response of an Audi in your Skoda.

![]() 02/14/2018 at 07:00 |

Love the color!
You see how that front wheel arch really comes out of the body work and is prominent because of the belt line?
Why can’t the rear wheel arch be the same way?
![]() 02/14/2018 at 11:14 |

No no no, not the mechanicals—those are pretty much standard across the PSA range as well; it’s just that the interiors and aesthetics of all three VAG brands come off as ordinary and interchangeable. You couldn’t swap that C3 interior with a Peugeot badge, but change the steering wheel in the Octavia with a VW one and no one would be any wiser. Of course the underpinnings are all the same, but there seems to be lack of creativity within VAG sub-brands in that yes, the cars look and drive well, but they are a bit one and the same in personality as well.
Meanwhile over in France...
Same basic car but they couldn’t be more different in character!

Ye’, heater controls, radio head unit and steering wheel are the most obvious ones.
I agree totally that they could and should do more to change the interior aesthetics.
